Streamate for Mature Cams, and How Gold Shows Work
Streamate is one of the oldest cam networks and a favourite of many older viewers. It works differently from token sites, so here is a calm walk through it before you spend anything.
Our View in Brief
Streamate suits viewers who prefer paying by the minute for one-to-one time with experienced performers, and it has a well-stocked mature section. If you'd rather watch for free and tip now and then, Chaturbate is simpler.
How Streamate Is Different
- No tokens. Streamate uses Gold, its own credit, alongside prices in dollars.
- Paid by the minute. Private and exclusive shows are charged per minute at the performer's own rate, which is shown before you start.
- Party Chat. The free, open room. You can chat, give Gold, or ask the performer to go private.
Gold Shows, Step by Step
A Gold Show is a group show with a set length. Streamate's own guidance for performers describes how it works:
- The performer sets a Gold target, a minimum entry, the length of the show and a countdown.
- During the countdown, viewers reserve a place by giving at least the minimum. Some performers offer extras to those who give more.
- When the target is met or the countdown ends, the performer starts the show, and everyone who reserved a place joins automatically.
- If the performer cancels or doesn't start, you are not charged for the Gold you pledged.
You can't take a performer private during a Gold Show, so wait until it ends if that's what you want. Gold Shows are usually the cheapest way to see a performer's paid show.
Private and Exclusive Shows
In a private show, other members may be able to watch as well. An exclusive show is one-to-one, with no one else watching, and costs more. Please check the per-minute rate and decide your limit before you begin.
Paying
- Card: card payments go through the ECHST.NET payment gateway, which is the name you'll see on your statement.
- PayPal: available in many regions, with a service charge added.
- VAT: charged at the time of billing for members in the EU.
If an ECHST.NET charge puzzles you, our billing names page explains what to do.
